Hi all any help appreciated with this. I've recently purchased a fiat Ducato 2001 1.9TD based motorhome. Problem is it's had it's immobiliser bypassed by removing the receptor on the fuel pump in the engine bay. It was taking a while to start when we bought it usually 3rd turn but thought it just needed a service etc.

So not sure if this has anything to do with the current problem which is there is no power going to the lift pump in the fuel tank under the floor in the cab, and also the fuel guage is not working.

Can anyone shed any light on this? I know the previous owner had the imobiliser "virginised" at an auto-electricians, but the key code light is lit orange permanently even though the immobiliser has been deactivated.

Bit of a head scratcher for you maybe. Oh the fuel filter when taken off was only about quarter full. I emptied it and refilled it to the top and then the van turned and started straight away, and did so for a few times over a couple of days. But back to square one now :(
Many thanks for reading all this garble.
