could someone point out where the maf sensor is on our 2.8 jtd 2001.

Hello! Did you sort this out? I too have a 2001 Ducato 2.8 JTD and am wondering where the MAF sensor is located. I feel a bit stupid not being able to spot it... I got the hose from the air inlet port at front of car to the air filter box, from there hose to the turbo, from turbo a hose up towards intercooler, from intercooler hose to inlet manifold. Nowhere there can I see a MAF sensor.... Did you find yours?
