Hi all,*

** * I haven't posted too much on the forum but found it very usefull when I have a issue, today's problem is getting on the more serious side of things... So I drove my 00 reg 2.8. Non turbo ducato from Ireland into France then swizerland and Austria (1600 miles in all) where it has been for 5 months now while I have been working. It has 74k on the clock and was very well looked after as a fleet van and then by me before I took it out ( timing belt, brakes + discs and drums.... Everything really.*

Anyway my issue now is what to do with it ...... About 300 miles ago as I was coming into swizerland the head went... Rad seal has fixed it for now until i can get it back to the garage,it now burns 100 ml of for about 150 miles. No water is consumption so it's got a little left to give. After being standing for 3 months due to crazy heavy snow( It started every week for 10/20 min to keep the battery charged and all that) I went to move it today now it's all melted and the hansbreak isn't frozen on and the clutch is slipping, it had a new one at 55k and I had no issues with it whatsoever on the mountain roads over. After looking on here some posts say it could be due to water ingression and rusting of the pressure plate. At the moment it bites but then slips and will rock but not move off the spot.

Now what to do ? I have enoug kit with me to change it but has anyone ever cleaned this off or anything else. Do I just bite the bullet and hand it over for a second hand engine and change it then as it is looking cheaper to replace then fix out here in Austria. Or scrap ?
