Hi

I had the flooring up in the passenger footwell yesterday, and it was wet. I removed the plastic cover back under the dash (that covers a load of connectors), and it would appear that the water is running down the inside of the bulkhead. The soundproofing/insulation matting is soaking.

Any thoughts on where this could be coming from? My first thought was the windscreen scuttle (given the previous issues with this), but visually, it looks OK.

Hi

Nope, no aircon fitted. The water is clear, and has no real smell. I think its rain-water rather than anything else! Just don't know where its coming from.

Vehicle is a motorhome, one thought was that it was condensation forming on the inside of the windscreen, then running off down the inside of the bulkhead. There's a lot of water for it to all be condensation though!

I had the interior light down and its dry up there (wondered if it was getting in via the radio aerial hole). Will check for blocked drains around the wiper motor etc.

Could it have come in through the heater inlet duct? has the engine bay been power washed at any time? I always try to avoid getting water in the inlet, not sure if it has a drain or not.

Hi
I also have this problem, not that it is very wet but a little damp (fiat ducato 2.5 diesel 1990 autosleeper).

So a guy who has a similar model said i need to check the rain water drainer it could be blocked ect (but i forgot to ask where it was!) :(

So any help could sort this problem out if i/we know where to look.

regards

I found a leak along the top of the windscreen.
Only came to light when I turned left and I got a lap full of water which fell out of the overhead shelf.
A tube of black silicon sorted it.

@ Nigel

as a matter of interest how did you get the interior light out as have been at mine for ages and it won't budge.
Cheers

Dont know if you have sorted this but my 2004 2.3/244 had the same problem. It turned out to be a blocked rainwater drain below the left hand side of the windscreen. If you look through the black plastic vent below the windscreen (outside the vehicle) you will see a well with a small round drain hole in the centre. This was full of water and every time it rained it overspilled through the air intake vent at the top of the well. Either take off the plastic vent cover and clear it out or get something long and thin and hunt through the water until you find the blocked drain.

Ok sorted it as the lens part comes out without the base which is a contradiction of the workshop manual which says the complete unit comes out.
