Hi there
I need to find the size of the spare wheel thats fits into a fiat ducato 1990 2.5 diesel auto sleeper (fits on top of engine) but when i bought the van it has wider wheels on & spare is to wide to fit into the wheel compartment!
So any help would be much app & also if anyone has that wheel i would be interested in it.

The tyre sits into the bonnet space as well, I remeber on mine it never looked like the bonnet would actually ever shut.

Yes i see the place where it should go but on my ducato there is a a big round air filter casing there & the metal bar goes over the top of it,sort of facing up over so not sure if there has been modifications on the engine over the years, & the wheel sit's pround of the front bonnet & will not close @ all.

Does the metal bar have a threaded boss about 1/3 way along it's length; if so it's probably the correct bar (boss is where the securing bolt for the wheel screws in) fitted upside down to clear the air filter (which is definitely in the wrong position: should be mounted over the cylinder head)

If the bar is turned over it will sit lower & the wheel should then fit on it.

Yes it does & you have just confirmed my thought about the air filter & the bar,the bar is the original.
So i will buy a cone air filter & re-route it & turn the bar the other way around & that should solve this annoying problem.
