hello i am new to the forum,i have had my ducato 2.0 jtd four about four months
then it suddenly lost power,i put some injector cleaner in the fuel, probably a coinsidence but now it has no power at low revs but when it reaches 3-3500 thousand revs power kicks in and then pulls like a train, just once it has lost all power down to tickover only, one other thing the two wires that go to the oil vapour heating resistance connection have broken would this have any affect, any help would be of great help as to what i can look at,(hope it is not the turbo)
many thanks
Dave.

Try unplugging the MAF sensor Dave. Its a common fault when they get old and dirty. You can clean them but they're cheap enough to buy new. On the largest pipe out of the air filter box they'll be a plug with wires going into it on the pipe. Just unplug it and give it a run.

The power kicking in at 3500 revs Dave is the turbo. As long as it ain't whistling or sounding like a gassy fart, she'll be fine. Fix the broken cables, they are they're for a reason.

I stand corrected after saying it had no turbo, I was repeating what dealer told me when we bought it in May.Question,as mine is also a 2.0 jtb I do not get the feel of turbo kicking in when pushing hard. My old 2.5 tb use to really feel it go.

try checking your fuel filter i put injecter cleaner in the 1.9d i had before and it didnt mix and gunked up the filter losing power worth a nose.
