Hello

I have a spare 'live' in the RH fuse box that isn't being used - to connect my Camera do I pass a piece of wire through the gap below the 'live' at the front of the fuse box or have I got to unbolt the fuse box and pass the wire through from the rear. I have a strip of wire that has the same connector as the live (circuit to be completed by 5amp mini - fuse). I have tried pushing the wire through the front but the connector part gets stuck and won't go through - do I force it through or is there a better way?

(When I have got the strip of wire in place will then connect that to the Rear camera live feed)

Your advice / tips assistance will be most appreciated - thanks for reading(y)

hanks for he reply - yes of course you are right and that is how the camera is wired to the vehicle - the 'live' that I want to create is for the LCD screen which is currently powered by a 12v lead from the cig lighter to the screen input. I want to do away with that by connecting the LCD screen power lead to the fuse box spare 'live'

Hence the request for help/advice

The connectors in fuse boxes have to resist movement once they are in place and this is usually achieved by them butting against a shoulder below the slot for the fuse and is locked in place by a lug on the connector springing out once it is pushed home (just try replacing one that has failed:()

Obviously the job could be done from the front by opening up the slot and pushing fuse and connector down, but for it to work properly so that the fuse can be easily replaced, the connector must be the correct type with locking lug and pushed in from behind.
