How do I remove the headlights from an X250 Ducato?

I want to fit HID bulbs and I can see it is awkward to get to the back of the light unit so thought it may be easier to remove the light unit.

Pull the long thin panel off from under the headlight, take care as its easy to break the clips and tabs off, then the headlight bolts on with 2 bolts underneath and one from the top.

Easy when you have done it once.

When you change the bulbs in the headlights to none standard, you may find the bulb out warning on the dash stays on all the time. I put LEDs in as side lights and the bulb out light is always on - passed its MOT this way, so all bulbs are working despite the light!

HIDs do not drop the wattage by much, unlike an LED bulb. Have not had any problems on my other vehicles with HIDs apart from getting the bulb fitted, that's why I want to remove the headlight
