I have a fiat ducato kon tiki motorhome. its a 2.5td on a 1996 'n' reg. last year the cam belt snapped and a friend rebuilt the engine from another engine. however he put the wrong fuel injection pump on the engine and its now running bad because the pump on it is from a non turbo. ive tried to get the right pump however apparently there are three types of pump made for this engine. i dont have the original and i have no idea how to to find out which is the right make for my engine. please help!

Have you checked your vin number in eperm surely that will show the right one. You should be able to increase the fueling on the pump to suit the turbo though.

i have the chassis number. its zfa2300000516313, I cant figure out how to use the site

Sorry corkman misspelt the word should be the ePER link at the top of the ducato forum page for your given Vin number see below.

There seems to be a two different part No.s for the injection pump for an 8140.47 engine code.
- 99447221 - AC14 Rotary Injection Pump
- 99483828 AC14 etc, new is considerably dearer than above Number

To use ePER follow below instructions-
1. Click on the ePER link on the Ducato home page click "GO" on the first page to accept GB etc
2. click on spare parts then select fiat Commerciali from the menu to the right
3. In the VIN box at the bottom left put your VIN No.
4. Click search button to the right of the Vin No.
5. It will then want you to specify the MVS ? - 231.448.0 (0) or (1)
6, pick either as both have the 8140.47 engine code
7. it then shows the Specific Vehicle Information for that VIN No. chassis etc click next -
9. next window click 102 fuel & exhaust systems
0. next window click on 10226 fuel injection system
Click on "1" in the diagram of the injection system for the pump
11. from there you can see the two different part numbers for the injection pump that would supposedly fit your vehicle -
If you click on the part number it will open a new window with a discription & the specs for that part number & also the price (way out of date!!)

Cheers

The newer more expensive pump is from 05-1996 onwards however the accelerator linkage, injectors, injectr pipes etc are the same so either will presumably work. They are both bosch ve4 pumps almost identical part numbers:

VE4/11F1900R542-1 older
VE4/11F1900R542-2 newer

Thers one on ebay I'll pm you now.
