hello again! the next problem i have is the heater fan spead, it started to only work on setting 4 or off about 6 months ago, then recently it stopped working all togethor. i have replaced the heater control unit with another from ebay which was a tricky job!

i probably should have taken a photo but didnt think at the time:bang: when changing the unit there are two plugs on the back, 1 for the two lights which was fine, the one that plugs in behind the temperature / speed switch. However, had one of the four wires slightly melted showing bear wire but was still connected to plug.

anyway the heater is blowing again but only on setting 4 again which is better than none at all i suppose

I have herd that it could possible be a resistor that is the problem and could anybody explain where abouts this is or have i purchased another stuffed control unit (which wasnt cheap even second hand)

Again thanks in advance Ian :D

Hi,

I have my 2006 3.0 ltr from yesterday...
I just realized that fan is working only in 4 (and AC is turning on only on 2, without fan).

If you find any solution on our common problem, please post it... In the meantime I'll check the fuse box.

Thanks,

Simone

gentlemen, I am a rookie here and this is not an English-speaking person before anything undress shop move your plug on the fan, the passenger can always like to kick and move, I had the same thing also worked for only 4 gear and the car is still under warranty, 2012, if as for the resistor, first never replaced, it screws up just a little light that you can solder in a new resistor alone will never spoils, he even think fit from older Versions Users

Check the plug underneath left side of main glove box, might be the earth connector opened up and not making contact, clean up, close pins together, worked on my old 07 plate van
