Whilst I had the dash board dismantled in my 2008 X250 Ducato, I found this under the top Glove box.


it looks like a PC Mouse connector! I don't think it is for an airbag as i believe safety equipment is colour coded yellow, so what is it 7 what is it for?

looks aftermarket to me you had the van from new?

I would suggest it's for O/E supplied accessory audio gear, the white plug and associated wires look very Fiatish to me, and the grey plug appears to be a 5/7 pole Din plug. Possibly nav gear, or cd stacker.

Masking tape would suggest aftermarket to me too, grey connectro could be s-video for a reversing cam.

The vehicle is a Motorhome, various bits of wiring within the rear of the Vehicle have been secured with masking tape.

It is as previously suggested the connection for a reversing camera, if you wish to fit a a camera if you remove your high level brake light and fish about a foot or so down you'll find the other end of the camera wiring. Depending on model, if you remove the courtesy light there may be more connectors up there too for a monitor?
Clever thinking by swift me thinks, also depending on your motorhome model you may find that it is pre-wired for a solar panel too, but don't ask me where the wiring for that is though I haven't found it mine yet.
