My burstner motorhome built on X 250 130 has fitted in the habitation area an aux heater connected to the engine cooling system. A leak has developed at the connection to the heater matrix. Perhaps the simple way to fix is to replace the short hose feeding the heater. How easy is it to drain and then refill the cooling system. I would only have to drain the level to below the heater. What special proceedures are required for refilling system.
Thanks
Steve

seems there is just one bleed point at connection to heater matrix in engine bay. Does this unscrew completely to bleed or do you just loosen?
Steve.

surprised not to have any replies
Thought this was a forum for help or perhaps no one has ever drained and refilled the latest x250.

Can't speak for anyone else, but it's definately the latter in my case.

The warranty has expired.
The leak is from one hose feeding auxillary heater matrix. A really easy fix but the system will loose some fluid during repair. The bleed screw is in the pipe as it enters the fiat cab heater matrix in engine bay but difficult to reach. The question is this, do i have to remove bleed screw completely or just loosen?

Does it look like a tyre valve cap?
They're the only ones I have experience of.
You don't need to remove them entirely, if you get impatient and over -undue it though, it can be messy trying to get them back on with the engine running.
