Hi, i want to lower the revs at cruising speed, i currently have 195/70/15 tyres and thinking of replacing with 215/75/16 wheels/tyres

It's a 2.0 JTD and wondering what this will do to the revs at say 70mph - it's currently doing about 3500 rpm

Thanks for any help
James

i think if you go from 15 to 16 wheels your speedo will read 70mph your engine revs will be the same but the road speed will be faster due to the increase in the dia of wheels. therefore the the speedo will be incorrect and you could be speeding but your speedo reading the speed limit..

Yep that's right, so using an independant source like saynav for example i can measure what 70 is before and after. I'm just wondering what effect the wheels will have

Thanks.
