i have (another) a new problem happening with my trusty, ever faithful van, from time to time the heater fan only works on number 4 but sometimes its ok, and i'm not sure if its related but the wipers don't always work on flat out (fastest), but they just sort of shudder very slowly, hardly moving. intermittent and normal speed is unaffected. i have had some fusebox problems in the past and ended up replacing it, not sure if its related? does anyone have any ideas of where i should look ?

have you checked the wiring at the heater resistor?

hi, no i haven't, wheres that and how do i do it? i have just been reading the skuttle water ingress thread, looks like i could be sitting on a time bomb!

If you have had water getting into your electrics then electrical problems are inevitable. Have you taken steps to cover the fuses and relays. I mentioned on an earlier thread to you that you needed to get the scuttle sorted which Fiat would have done for free while the van was under warranty. This was not a recall issue; you had to ask.

Have you thought of approaching Fiat? Alternatively you could make up a waterproof cover which might not look pretty but could be effective. I had to do something similar with my Transit where water kept getting into the air filter.

i silicone sealed the skuttle back in the summer, across the windscreen and in the tray itself where it joins, also replaced fusebox due to water damage. i will look at doing some of the other recommended water ingress prevention measures soon, including bigger skuttle drainage with tubes and seal around lights etc.
any ideas where to look for this annoying heater/wiper problem?

wipers when it comes to whether it will be ducato boxer jumper if you need to occasionally pull out mechanism and grease on the pins it often densely likes to bake they break the O-rings, this is a case which unfortunately occurs unas nagminie in Poland especially in periods of the winter salt wala mercifully not here and that the moisture climbs everywhere, but the suspect to you and in will likewise sory for spelling
