hi all!
got a motorhome with 2.8 jtd engine on a '56 plate mileage 20k
runs well but came back from 200ml fast run few wks ago and
when i went to drive it again would't start.
engine turns really fast but injector warning light is on.
tested all fuses ok
disconected and reconected elec plugs on injectors
disconected batt lead 10 mins
even changed fuel filter still no joy
help please and save me from dreaded fiat m/dealers!

Just some basic checks that might help - mainly point 1.
Turn the key ON and check that the initial check on the MIL and CODE warning lights takes place.
Then check:
1.if the inertia switch has cut in; - reset inertia switch.
2.presence of fuel in the tank; - feed pump located in the fuel tank is operating - The tank pump will go off after 30 seconds.
3.air intake circuit; - check condition of air filter & hoses & connections etc.

Any tests needed after these initial tests will require Diagnostic equipment to read the DTCs
Low fuel delivery pressure test: Connect the tester pressure transducer or a pressure gauge between the diesel filter and the pressure pump (connect it to the filter outlet).
Turn the ignition key ON.
Within 30 seconds, check that the pressure on the pressure gauge is between 2 and 3 bars.
The tank pump will go off after 30 seconds.
Cheers
