Hi I have a Fiat Ducato 2005 and am having problems with the ignition and lock keys, I had a similar problem with a 2004 model last month and put it to the Fiat garage who changed the locks and barrels and had to recode the keys etc which cost me £ 900, is their a cheaper alternative that anyone knows of as the 2005 looks like it needs the same?

£900....you were robbed!

Keys started having problems in barrell and would not turn fiat advised whole new set and charged £ 900 what do you suggest for the other one which is having similar problems, the key has actually snapped in the ignition on the second one

it can be done for a much cheaper cost of ignition lock assembly and a key, dealership should be aware of this.

I have a new full lockset and keys i bought but never fitted. If you have flip keys you can swap the new keyblades onto your existing keys thus avoiding programming.

Can you unlock the fiat transponders I had problems unlocking them last year but I assume the software has move on since then. Or are you using a generic megamos or emulating them with a pcf chip?
