Hi ive brought a 52 plate ducato with a blown up engine. I was just wondering if any 2.8 jtd, hdi engine would go straight in, as i spoke to a breaker on the phone and he went on about injectors being differant on the later engines. I was also wondering what sort of price to be paying for a replacement engine.

The rail and injector pipes changed in 2002 but as far as I know the injectors are the same all the way up bosch number 0 445 120 002. If I was getting an engine I'd get it complete and keep your old injectors, rail, pipes for spares. What caused it to blow up?

Lack of oil apparently, there is a huge hole in the side of the block. I knew the engine was no good when i brought it but i got it dirt cheap so dont mind spending a bit for a decent engine for it.
