Hello all,
Have a 2004 Avondale MH on a Ducato 2.8JTD and wonder if someone can tell me what the capacity of the fitted alternator is. Fiat in Italy could not tell me without taking it apart but said that there are three types that are fitted, 90,120 and 150Amp. They thought on a camper chassis it should be 120Amp. I am fitting an air con in the cabin with an inverter and need to calculate charging rates.
I have replaced my 85Ah battery with a Fiam 100Ah cabin battery and thinking of doubling that up when the air con is fitted, but not sure if existing alteranaor is adequate to keep all the batteries charged while travelling mostly in France/ Italy.
I have also installed 210 W solar panels on the roof to help out a bit and have a 1k sinewave inverter installed to run the proposed Dometic C1000 aircon although would prefer something more powerful.
Appreciate any comments.
