Hi...does anyone know if there is a wiring Diagram available for a 2003 Ducato 2.8JTD, or recommend where such an item might be found/ acquired/bought?

Its required to investigate a fault whereby the passenger door electric window doesn't operate on either door switch, and its been proven that the motor works OK. Therefore the finger of suspicion points to the expensive looking relay module , but it would be good to eliminate any other factors before replacing the module!

Thanks

the download link for the wiring diagram for ducato does not work, any other way for me to get it?????

I realize this is way out of date, and the problem with the window regulator is probably well and truly solved by now. However I had a similar problem with my 2004 Ducato 2.8JTD, except that neither of the windows would work, nor would the remote door lock. The problem proved to be the lack of an earth connection to the control box ( behind the dash on the left hand side, and a tit of a thing to get to.) I don't know why there was no earth, because obviously there would have been when the vehicle was new, but soldering a earth to the PCB and grounding it to the chasis fixed both the window problem and the remote locking problem.
A previous owner had replaced the engine wiring loom, and I suspect this was when the problem occured.

I also need a wiring diagram for my 2004 Ducato but when I go to the Download link it comes up with Download Not Available. Is there another way I can get hold of a wiring diagram. I bought a DVD on EBay but its completely useless. I am prepared to pay for a wiring diagram so any help would be much appreciated.

Hi
Here is a link to the 02-06 eLearn Workshop Manual for the 244 models -
http://www.filefactory.com/file/5st...le_Tecnico_D_officina_-_Fiat_Ducato_02-06.rar
Go to the bottom of the page & select Download from "Slow Download" then go from there after the countdown completes.
It is an CD ISO image compressed in a RAR file so you will need Winrar to uncompress the file (free on the net) which will give you an ISO image which you then burn to a CD (as an image) using Nero or similar program. Then insert the CD in the drive & it should auto start the installation on your computer. Just follow the prompts, when finished there should be an eLearn icon on your desktop to start the program but the CD has to be in the drive when using the program. When you start the program select the language in the top left - english then select the engine size. Then click on the Blue Ducato van at the top & select from the menu on the left.
Hope that helps

If you go on e-bay you can get a cd version of the workshop manual
At first found them a bit difficult to work around but with a bit of guessing and fiddling I have found all I wanted
the best bit is they only cost about 3 quid

Thank you, followed the instructions and it worked a treat.
" Does exactly what it says on the site"

Hi jamiesducato
Welcome to the forum if you follow the instructions in the #8 post above you can download the x244 eLearn ISO image compressed in a rar file which you can then burn to a CD & install on your system. It has the wiring diagrams for your model in it. Or for more info on how to do it go to the guides section & into the Ducato section https://www.fiatforum.com/ducato-guides/ or straight to my post for the full info - https://www.fiatforum.com/ducato-guides/453189-downloading-burning-244-250-elearn-iso-cd-image.html
The links in #8 above & in the guides are the same but the guide section also has a zip version of the X244 eLearn to download which makes it easier to make the CD. Where in oz are you?
Cheers

Hi FreeSpirit
Tried the #8 download but when I try to burn the ISO it says invalid image file. I'm trying to modify unlocking to work with alarm and need more wiring info. We have a 2004 Autotrail.

Just a point to bear in mind if connecting an alarm to the vehicle locking system. If the alarm operates from its own remote and allows unlocking of the doors when you turn off the alarm, that's one thing, but check very carefully that the alarm is not one that sets or unsets from sensing locking of the vehicle doors using the vehicle key or remote.

If it does, then there's not much point in fitting it, as any thief who opens the door by manipulating the door lock mechanism will disable the alarm at the same time, rendering it useless at the very time you need it to work.

Not applicable in this case, just need more info on the Ducato wiring to interface.

Tried that, get file corrupted when I try to burn ISO.

vjp,

I understand what you are trying to achieve, as my alarm system unlocks the doors. (I have not dared to attempt sorting the after market wiring.)

From eLearn the keys switch a negative (earth) to the central locking controller.

The central locking / window control unit is not easy to reach, as it is buried in the dash. The door connectors D016A (LH), and D017A (RH), somewhere behind the fuse panels should be easier to reach. Use either side as convenient.

D016A, and D017A are wired in a similar manner. The appropriate control pins are 10 for lock, and 11 for unlock. Wire colours are white/green and light blue/violet respectively. Pin 3 is the black/violet earth connection.

eLearn does not offer a definitive statement, but I think that the signal from the door key or elswhere must only be a short pulse, as both door keys are wired in parallel.

Thank you Communicator, that gives me a good starting point. I'll have a good poke around and test before I attempt to wire anything in.
