The wiper self parking on my -96 Ducato isnt working.
Is this a common problem?
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Mine doesn't occasionally.
It's normally the switch (or third bush) in the actual motor itself, tbh I haven't bothered stripping mine down, I just turn it off when the wipers are in the right place.

I´ll have a go on stripping it down and bending the brush a little then.

I dont bother to much myself but the MOT man do....

I didn't think they had to self park for the MOT, just clear the screen properly.
Mine have passed for years with no problems.

("occasionally" above may have been an understatement thinking about it)

Here in Norway the MOT came as a part of an EU directive. Ironicly Norway(that is not part of the EU) seeme are more eager to follow all the EU directives than any of the actual members.

Anyway this is my second car that doesent pass the MOT because of this problem.

For some reason the outer piece of the third brush were sheared off but were sill in the housing. Thried just bending the remaining bit so it touched the surface but it then started eating fuses.
I soldered the piece back on and now its working perfectly.

Good result.
