Does anyone know how to get transponder keys for the new Ducato (apart from paying exhorbident prices fromm Fiat!). It seems most vehilce keys are available in the aftermarket or even on ebay but Ducato keys seem a bit rare.

I have since found Fiat "lazer": key blanks on Ebay with a flatkey blade that looks like it would suite the Ducato. I am trying to find out if this model DUCATO can write directly to the memory chip in the key as is the case with some other vehicles.

It is hard to find a locksmith that can be of assistance although I have tried a few

All code 2 systems need programming so answer is basically no.

New key from Fiat in Australia is $495 which seems a bit outrageous for what it is but it looks like there are very few alternatives. I can locat second had key fobs but not a new blade for the ducato and then theres the programming which no one seems to be able to do either here or in the UK

non remote key (inc programming) is (was) £120 when I last done one few months ago. That was including call out to customers house.

I believe genuine key and code from the dealer but auto locksmith can then programe to the car.
