hi all, just brought a 1996 ducato 10 swb camper van, i went to use the cigarette lighter to charge my tomtom sat nav but it's not working, i've checked the fuse that's ok but can't seem to get the lighter socket out to check the wire's any idea's anyone to remove it.

Hi Martin,I have just joined the forum and your question is close to mine.I have a camper with a 2.8 Ducato engine 1995.On mine the ciarette lighter is only live if the ignition is on.My problem is that my 12 volt socket next to it doesnt work with the ignition on or off,the fuse is OK but no supply at the back of the socket either,do you have one of these sockets as well?

hi paul, no i don't have another socket on mine, i sorted mine out after taking the ash tray out and looking at the back of the lighter socket there were no wire's connected to it instead the were for some reason taped up i took the tape of plugged it back in(3 pin plug) and it works fine. why someone would want to take it off is anyones guess, mine woks with the ignition off. hope this helps.

Hi. My ducato lighter is loose and I want to take it out to tighten it up. BUT I don't want to force it, and it won't come out. Any advice from anyone please? Simon
