Could anyone advise how to pick up the central locking wires on a 2005 Ducato 2.8JTD as I am wiring in a new alarm this weekend.

Thank you.

I have a 2006 Ducato 2.8 JTD.

See https://www.fiatforum.com/ducato/193344-diy-intrusion-alarm.html for my request too. I included the relevant circuit diagram. No responses (n)

I think the key is to find connectors D097. These give access to the output of the remote lock and unlock signals from the receiver which is mounted centrally behind the radio. I cannot locate them :bang: . I've had the front facia covers off and searched everywhere except under the passenger airbag. I can't find them :(

Thanks Peter.

Well after a few hours with scraped hands and a test meter I think that the following will work.

Above / behind the fusebox by the drivers right knee (RHD) is a wiring loom to the door with 3 plugs. On mine the white one has no connections. The smaller grey one is for the electric mirrors. The larger grey one is for the door locks and electric windows.

The small light blue with purple tracer in this loom unlocks the doors when shorted to earth.
The small white with green tracer locks the doors when earthed.

Just waiting for my new alarm to be delivered then will let you know if it works.

Regards.

I don't believe that will work, at least in the way I want. The wires in the door loom have activation pulses from D097. These activation pulses come from the wireless remote, AND FROM DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK signals from the doors themselves. That is, an alarm switched on from the loom can be switched off simply by opening or closing a door or by moving the door lock snib up and down. Not what I want at all. Sure the signal would be useful as an alarm activation signal but how do you actually switch on the alarm - with a separate switch mounted somewhere? No thanks.

I am fitting an alarm so that when I set the alarm with the remote key fob the doors lock and when I reset the alarm the doors unlock. Just like a manufacturers fitted one.

Well, that is exactly what I am trying to do too, but I am trying to use the Ducato remote key fob device. Please report your experience!
Thanks.

Mine doesn't have the Ducato Remote only key opening. Anyway Cobra alarm arrived and fitted and and central locking working fine from Cobra.

Regards.
