Please help!!
My parents have just purchased a brand new Fiat Autotrail Trigano Tribute 550 and they went away for a few days last week, and my Father has said there is a knocking or a banging noise at the rear in the suspension area.
They have taken it back to the company they bought it from who said just see what happens when they use it!
Has anyone else had these problems or know of what may be causing it.
Any help would be appreciated as I'm at the end of my tether with the company!

The company we purchased from said they have have checked and although there is a banging/knocking they cannot find anything - they have mentioned 'AEONS'?

Please help

Regards

I have read that there is a problem with the 'rubber' blocks that are fitted between the leaf springs, towards the ends - they apparently fall out and the springs make a clatter. Check that they are there. If not, ask for replacements. Lubrication between the springs may help?

Check the rear shock absorber mounting bolts. In most cases they loosen slightly and allow the bolt to move in its sleeve and create a knock. I have lost count of the number of times I have cured this fault in vans and trucks. While you are under your van, check ALL chassis mounting bolts for tightness, i bet you can tighten most at least a quarter of a turn.
