all reet folks!

Ive just fit a new kenwood c.d player into my ducato, got it wired in o.k and it works fine but theres a male connection on the van with no place to go in the new supplied adaptor and ive just stuffed it behind the head unit, was just wondering what its for. Anybody know?

thanks for the reply.
well no not really, i suppose i could go out and take one but its a bit late, its similar to the main plastic connector exept smaller and only has three wires going into it, if thats any help. ill try and get a pic wen i get a minute.
thanks

well the plastic block bit is black but theres deffo a purple wire going into it, and i cant remember what colour the other wires are. thanks

just leave it disconnected as it will be a standard loom for all models. It could also well be to control the speed signal (to auto raise volume etc), CAN network among other uses.

If you really want I can tell you exactly what wires are for if you give me engine size/year.

it was plugged into the old cassette player tho, but it didnt have steering wheel controls. the stereo works fine , radios good the works. Im a bit miffed

ill have a quick look when i get time, i thought it mite have been for some other speakers or somet, but i know nothing about auto electrics and the diagram looks a bit confusing and gibberish. thanks
