Alright, I am not new to the spanner work but I'm stuck and I don't want to leave things lying in the open (I haven't got a garage) I've got the gearbox unbolted from everything and it won't come off! It appears to be stuck on the thrust bearing and release fork but I can't see how to get the fork pivot pin out, any help gratefully received!

Thanks in advance.

Yep. You need to remove the clutch arm pivot pin. Once out the engine and box will separate. Sounds simple, yea right! To get mine out I had to drill a hole in the flywheel housing near the starter motor, put a rod in through the hole and knock the pin out.
Keep well,
Torq

I take it you mean that I drill the bellhousing at the front of the pivot :idea:and hope to be inline! everything else is free so after drilling and pushing the pivot pin out it should be plain sailing?(y)Thanks

Exactly! Some pins can be pulled out with an extractor, others cant. When I drilled my bellhousing I thought I'd start with a pilot hole and work from there but by pure fluke I got it bang on first time. Best of luck!!

Thanks again torq, I should've thought of that. did you cover the hole when you were finished? I think I will.

Cheers again, I was too high with my first attempt but I got it! I filled the wrong hole with some "Quick steel" resin and put a plastic grommet into the correct hole for future use. The hole I drilled was 10mm to allow for a large drift/punch. Covering the end of the pivot was a plastic cap which I just punched through to push the pivot out.

The motorhome is now back on the road! Whoo hoo!
