Hi all,
was wondering if any one has a replacement engine for a 1.9 1997 Ducato. Or if not does anyone know where i might be able to get a replacement? also would another engine ie.2.5diesal fit easily? I am located in Ireland so it would require someone who could ship etc.

Hi Robbie,
any of the non jtd engines will go in without any problems. I haven't seen a 1.9 in a breakers for ages it's mostly 2.5 and 2.8 with bad gearboxes. If I was you I'd stick an add in buy and sell and see what turns up. But I'd say the cost of an engine from a breakers would be about 4 to €500. Also if you change the engine you will have to change the gearbox as there are several different ratios and each is engine specific. Just a thought, I've a '97 2.5 mwb ducato that's taking up space in my drive that I'd sell if you were interested. All it would need for a DOE is a track rod end and a rear shock and I could sort you out with them if you are interested.
