hi guys,
i have a major prob now.. my ducato 14 2.8td had a glitch a long time ago where the key code light stayed on & the van wud not start.. i disconnected the battery for a while then reconnected it & van has been ok up till now.. prob been more frequent, seemed disconnectin battery cured it, where now, no chance but have noticed i can potter about 4 a while without a prob, once engine warmed up fully i have to wait till engine cools right down b4 key code light goes out & van will start.. cud this b some part of the key code/immobiliser circuit over heatin???

www.programmeyourkeys.com Just a thought, does your key/immobilizer need resetting, this site should tell you how to do it.

unfortunately no luck on that site doorman, they don't do all makes & fiat is 1 of them, just my luck.. cheers anyway..

Had exactly the same problem with my year 2000 2.8 14 model, eventually had to by pass the imoblisor completly,( which takes less than 10 mins work to do)
It appears to be a very common problem.
