external temp gague

hi does anybody know if the x2/50 ducato should have an external temp display on the instrument panel as standard or is it a retro fit item? I think the details in the brochure suggests it should have one but this may be for a different spec van. mine is a 2.3 multipoint. if it is retro fit do you know what is involved to fit, how much, and how available? or any alternative suggestions please.
