Hi Mark, if you mean the large nut on the end of the driveshaft which you have to remove it,s 50mm across the flats. You can obtain a socket from any motor factor for about £8, often known as a transit socket, it will be 3/4" drive. I have just changed both drive shafts on my '98 2.5 . Doorman.
