does anybody know what is in the square top of the injector pump? my m/home has never missed a beat, until last oct. when i must have got some bad fuel in france,it kept stalling on me! but got home ok, it still runs great but is a pig to start!. i have changed all pipes lifter pump, glow plug filters etc. but it still feels as if fuel is draining back to tank! so i was wondering if there is a diaphragm in the injector pump.i have even changed the bitron control box, but as the glowplug light has never come on in the past and starting has been no prob. im not bothered about it. anyone know about the pump?:bang:

hello, it just keeps turning over for ages before it starts! i have changed the lifter pump already and done all the tests to eliminate everything but the injectors and pump but the pump is going to be a pig to get to! less access than a van! i think the top of the pump has a diaphragm in to pump fuel in when reqd. but dont know if it will cause my probs. it goes great when started, 75+ yesterday not bad for 3500kg house on wheels.i have to fix it as going away soon will keep u posted.

hello, at last our m/home is starting properly again!! i had the injectors and pump rebuilt and it cured the bad starting, unfortunately the new flamestart plug i put in has failed? £63.5 ! i am sending it back, but it starts ok without it anyway now we just need to book a ferry and head for the sun:) bye

sorry for the delay, i got the box from a scrapyard in bradford, it is as you described but changing it made no difference it was the injectors and pump seals that cured it!. the new heater plug i put in failed very soon after fitting, but it starts great without it(am still waiting for replacement)i paid £25.00 for the box.
