where is it

can anyone tell me where the reversing light switch is on my fiat ducato 2.8 jtd 2004 is i have looked high and low but cannot find it.

Hi mate,

Would have thought it would be on your geerbox somewhere. Noramlly at the front near the filler plug.

Yes, that's what the manual says: on the top of the gearbox somewhere. But I spent a long time looking and could not find it - its very cramped under there!

Why do you want to know? There are much easier places to tap into the reversing electrics for example!

hi i need it so i can fill the gearbox with oil i have been told that it is the only way to refill the gearbox on this model.

Hi
the way to fill the gearbox is through the speedo sensor ( which is on the back side of the gearbox from underneath the vehicle ) but there is a special tool for the correct level - it holds 2.7 litres & you must use the same specified oil namely TUTELA ZC 75 Synth API GL5, MIL L 2105 LEV

Attached pics - left side speedo sensor near the gearshift cables, the right is the reversing light which is on the front side of the box under all the intake pipes.
