| 1998 ducato cooling fans Hi all, I recently bought a camper on a 1.9td ducato & have a few problems firstly one of the cooling fans stayed on, I disconnected it as changing the temp switch did no good, fan 2 was working ok. Now neither fan comes on, any ideas ? Also there is a whining noise while accelerating in 5th gear, is the gearbox on the way out? any ideas greatly appreciated !!

| Re: 1998 ducato cooling fans Thanks for reply Moderator, still not sorted . The reason I disconnected the top fan was because it stayed on even when ignition was off and the engine was cool thus running down the battery, anyway the other fan was working fine. A few weeks later when I checked if this fan was still ok, it didn't come on at all, I then reconnected the first fan to find that it didn't work now either. The situation now is that neither fan comes on .

| Re: 1998 ducato cooling fans You could always wire both to a manual switch/relay until you sort the problem?
