:bang: :idea: i have a 2007 lwb ducato 3ltr iveco engine its done 4500 miles, started with key outside my house, picked a lad up for work 2 miles away and van wouldnt start when i turn ignition nothing happened all lights on dash are as normal no warnings but nothing hapens noturnover nothing it bumps lovely with no effort and runs fine drove for 200 miles turned off and has to be bumped again i would say that rules out a flat battery. however the fuse box cover is missing from under steering wheel and im not sure if i've knocked out one of the large fuses, there is a space were one could be and im not sure if there was one there previous???? attached is a diagram ive mmarkerd with a blue circle and cross should there be something in this space?? there is only one metal pin in this socket alsoany sugestions would be helpfull!

I've done a couple of starter motors on the new ducatos,sounds like thats what you need.~Try turning ignition switch slowly & push a bit harder when turning to crank position,There is a starter realy in the circuit but its done 4500miles so far so i'd suspect starter.

Its a 07 plate so stop by dealer & get them to confirm starter motor,its at front of engine so easy to get to.

hi having problem with my 160 multijet 3.0 12,500 miles 10 plate... thot it was dogdy starter so replaced but still the same... got the old starter back on and managed to jump start it after a bit by starting directly to the starter off my transit... my mechanic says voltages are fine @ starter connections . we have tried different battery , is there anything we are missing.... I read your reply about starter relay... it had new starter in the past under warranty... to make matters worse it has now ran out of test and as a final boot in the tatties is that the final payment was made yesterday...... need it sorted and traded for a new van....not a fiat may I add lots of niggly problems over the 4 years including water dripping from wiring loom at drivers feet in the first few months... we are getting another starter tmoz or when we can get it just incase the new starter is a dud....cheers for any info...radar
