Hello - wonder if any of you guys can help me with a problem i have on my recently purchased 1991 Fiat Ducato 2.5 Turbo Diesel campervan.

Whats happening is a warning light on the instrument panel is flickering on and off as im driving along - it looks like this....




Theres no loss in power and the engine runs fine - the vehicle is a german import and the instructions are in german so im currently unable to find out what the symbol means. I believe it could be a blocked filter ? but which filter could it be ( fuel or air ? )

Any help would be gratefully appreciated - cheers !!

Can you find the picture in the manual ? If so tell us what it says in German, maybe work it out

You think it would translate to blocked air filter but on checking it last night it was fine - i did strip the fuel filter down and found a lot of dirt inside the filter itself. Hopefully this will be the fault ? Im going to replace the filter tonight with a new unit + im giving it a full filter service with new oil etc

Yes it does mean air filter blocked except that it's Spanish not German !! .
If you're sure the filter is ok (try running briefly with it out) then it could be the sensor assosciated with it or the connections thereto.

Thanks for the info - ive just checked the connections going to the air filter and the light went off....i think its a faulty sensor or a loose connector. Im going to fit new terminals and clean the sensor and see what happens.

Besides the current electrical problems, how are you finding your Fiat Ducato? I am on the search for a Fiat Campervan or Fiat Camper Conversion and was hoping you could give the pros and cons with your model. Thank you for your help in advance.
