Cool Re: m jet 1.3 problems

ohh dear....

you've only a couple of grand on the clock and this ... you must have friday afternoon car... had a vauxhall astra like that anything that could have gone wrong did, in the end they swapped it... for a new one... mind you it was a company car so a bit more "clought" with the dealer...

I would advise you to remove any slight changes to the car ie the alloys.... they will pick on these whether it matters or not...

I personally have had a few niggles / live with the fiat way... on the 1.3 with a 05 plate but not anything to do with EM .. we've done now some 26,000 mostly on long runs.....

I know it may seem a silly question but do you tow anything regularly?

if you took out independant finance on the car or paid for it on a credit card you may have a little more leverage with assistance of the finance company as they in effect own the car as well.......

best of luck on a refund/swap i'd go for a 1.9jtd....

No such thing as a EBD module......its ABS module(EBD is software prog inside),sounds to me you have a intermittent power failure/earth problem assuming its not the obvious sensor/switch fault.
Why the ignition barrel was changed I can only wonder!
