I haven't got as much done as planned due to my other half's cars water pump failing so spent all weekend replacing that so the van wasn't touched.

I got a new leather steering wheel and a new clock spring (it was cheaper to buy the whole stalks assembly than just the clock spring)





I got a cheeky half day so got round to fitting them.

at first I had no response but after a play on multiecuscan I managed to enable it.

while on the software I decided to have a look at the cruise control options and looks like it's all there so hopfully I just need to find a new stalk unit with cruise control attached...



I decided to try and get my control panel finished so got colour swatches to match my vans colour.



ral 5015 matt looks close and my work has it in stock so got a sample done and looks spot on



I have ordered a bunch of other bits and bobs which will hopfully all arrive at the weekend.

I had quite a problem finding stalks from a doblo and after fiat wanting £200+ for a set I decided to do some digging and found that the Alfa Romeo Giulietta looked very similar and found a set brand new for £30!



got straight to fitting them



after a bit of messing around on the laptop I managed to get it activated and works perfectly!!



I also got a dedicated towing kit through and also got it fitted but it was a bigger job than expected due to have the rear all racked out

I haven't got as much as I wanted done again.. but least I have an excuse...



picked up Oban on Friday and he is only 8 weeks old so spend a lot of time getting stuff sorted for him.

but I did get speaker buckets more sound deadening and foam to try and help the front speakers.







I did manage to get the panel powdered on Saturday at work, still needing to fit it though.



I have been thinking that the little vibe subwoofer isn't gonna cut it so fitted it to my partners car.



It definitely makes a difference but I wanted more so order this. (vibe a7 amp is one I had Spare and looks well matched to the subwoofer)



decided to measure under the seat to see if it's possible to fit it under there.





think it may fit but will get fibreglass ordered to make a custom box.

I got a new Makita palm router delivered today. never used one before so I'm a complete beginner..



I grabbed a couple of offcuts of mdf to make some rings for the subwoofer but needed a circle jig and for £40 I would rather make my own!

so took some measurements from the base plate and got some old plexiglass we had kicking around, 15 mins on the cnc machine I have my very own jig!



got drawn up and ended up doing it in the house pissing off the other half! but needs must





roughly what I have so far, needs a little sanding to get it looking better but because it's hidden under the seat I'm not going to spend ages on it.

picked up some fibre glass Matt and resin so set out to make my under seat enclosure.




out the van got is covered and resin added so will leave to set over night before test fitting then reinforcing

I got it test fitted to ensure fitment before adding additional layers of matting to the internal of the box



all reinforced and added some filler to the outside



I has some carpet left over so wrapped it up which was a little more difficult than I was expecting.

I still need to measure the internal volume and add connectors so the subwoofer isn't currently fixed in yet.
