Hello everyone just done my own service today but can't get the light off. I've heard that you can use multiecuscan and a cable to fix this, just wondering if anyone has done this before and if it works. Also what would the software cost.

Software is €50, you download the free version to laptop, check that you have brought the right interface for the car by testing it with the free version, once happy you buy the licence, instant registration, follow the instruction and all done.

Any problems pop back on here, where are you located anyway, there may be a member near you who is willing to reset it, for a coffee or 2 ? ( used to be beer )....

Hi,
Multiecuscan (MES) is what you need plus a USB ELM-327 interface. Best to get one "modified for Multiecuscan" this ebay item:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271275445368 is known to work OK.
For your vehicle you should be able to do a service reset with the trial version of MES. However if it works for you I highly recommend you pay the €50 registration fee. A Fiat dealer will charge you more than this for one diagnostic read. If we don't support the writers of the software we won't have the software.

Thanks for the replies, I have ordered one and shall update you with my progress.

Just a quick update, I received the interface and bought the license. Within a matter of 30 minutes I completed the work (Remove service light and change engine oil).

Having said that the following day my Camshaft position sensor blew while driving

Got the mechanics to get it fixed, hopefully nothing goes now!
