Wondering if you can help with diagnosing a frustrating :bang: issue with a Doblo 1.4 petrol (54k miles, regularly serviced. 2010, -2010 model). I first noticed it on a motorway run when I felt the car lurching and then pulling back every few seconds, as if the brakes were being applied or driving in high winds, despite no movement in the throttle pedal.

On setting off the car goes briefly followed by a loss of power/revs - lack of air or fuel??? I've checked the air filter (clean) and replaced the MAP sensor.

Investigated more using the Torque ODBII app and have attached graphs and notes hoping that you'll see clues to what's going on. No fault codes or lights... just an uncomfortable drive and high fuel consumption :(

Notes from ODBII Torque app graphs (attached). The 'Intake' graph is the MAP ...

Photo # Description
--------- ------------
1. Pumping throttle. Throttle graph showing only small changes.

2. O2 1x2 sensor drops off despite no physical change in throttle position.

3,4,5 & 7. Throttle position maintained and yet revs vary a lot, as shown in graph. This seems to relate to the loss of revs/power when driving & setting off. Throttle graph doesn't change much despite throttle position. Throttle actuator okay? Timing advance and O2 1x1 sensor graphs normal???

6. Slight press & hold of throttle

8. Vehicle stationary and engine to temperature. At idle. Some misfiring. Starts okay.

Thanks for your help! :)

petrols don't have a fuel filter like diesels, its just an inline one, I'm no expert but with performance/economy drop in thinking could be blocked catalytic converter?. Neil

Thanks Neil. I'll have the catalytic converter checked out and post back...
