Hi all
fiat doblo 1.9 jtd cargo 52 plate
I have changed the fuel filter and the van starts and runs perfect my question is
the filter has a inlet
the filter has a outlet
the filter has a return pipe
on the fitting of the return pipe it fits into a little basket on top of the fuel filter and is held in place with a metal clip
the fitting has a small plastic pipe that sits in the top of the filter which has two 0 rings which make a seal inside the filter to stop diesel escaping
the problem i have is diesel is getting past the 0 rings and dripping down the outside of the filter dripping very badly when engine is not running.it looks like the fitting should have a rubber seal between the fitting and the top of the filter which would help make a seal... when i fitted the new filter it did not come with this seal and there was not one there when i replaced the filter
can any one tell me if there should be one or does it seal only with the 0 rings
regards
Richard
