hello guys,

On my doblo I have the 2/3 - 1/3 doors.

I have noticed that my 2/3 door behaves in a strange manner.

When the door is almost closed (only 15cm remains before complete shutting), I can feel a force that opposes the complete shutting.

I can't see anything that touches or rubs against the door....
It seems like the hinges are slightly bent....

My doblo never has accidents....

Anything like this is ever happened to one of you?

rubber trim / seal maybe..??

Had something similar after a bulb replacement by local garage. They took of the left rear light housing and didn't put it back completely flush. Maybe this? It was easy to see it was rubbing.

Similar effect on mine when the hinges started to seize up. There was a thread on this subject about a year ago, and somebody provided photos showing where to drill holes so that oil could get right into each hinge.

There you go
2.5 mm hole angle down after starting hole a 3inone plastic oil can spout pushes into the hole, suggest plenty of releasing fluid first & work the door till free, then the oil it is surprising how much crap comes out, the releasing fluid WD40 is NOT an oil it is a Water Dispersal fluid
I oil every 3\4 months after they free up
It would have been to easy for Fiat to put the holes in there

Thank you all!!

So, your door seems to work just fine (not stiff at all), but when it was almost close the hinges seize?
500e
I have to drill the hole in the upper part of central section of the hinge (the one that turn around the pin when I open/shut the door), is it right?

If I understand correctly, I have to incline the drill bit so that the hole start high and goes "downhill"; and I have to do a 2.5 mm hole and then enlarge it to 3mm?

How much I have to go deep: the drill has to enter a little inside the pin (to be sure that the hole is a full 3mm) or I must stop when the tip of the drill bit start to scratch the pin?

A 2.5 or 3mm will do drill hole close to top of door side of hinge this is the bit that moves start drill at 90degrees as soon as you have a start, angle drill so hole is slightly facing down .
I drilled our vans till I felt drill touch the pin then went a little further 1\2 mm just to clear the hole in hinge.
If I remember correctly while I was drilling i moved door slightly then I could feel the drill hit the pin, do it gently at the break through stage you don't want a broken drill in there.
It took a fair bit of opening & closing door to work the oils through a good soak helped.
Best of luck & gently does it

Yes, that was exactly the situation. Doors were getting noticeably hard to shut last year, so I simply copied what @500e had done (many thanks for that very useful tip), and it cured the problem. Twelve months have passed, the hinges are becoming rather stiff again, so it must be time for some more lubrication.

Best to do it every 3\4 months Jabe puts less strain on panels & lock mechanism
