Well folks, Dobbin the Doblo is being part exchanged for a nearly new Ford Tourneo Connect. The original plan had been to keep it much longer but, five and a half years of ownership have seen just too many suspension and steering problems plus some other stuff. Now the ride is awful again with even more new noises from the back. 'Tis a shame as, otherwise, it has done all that could be asked of it.

there is a new guy on the forum , aussie living in france who needs a 1.9 diesel engine don't know if jtd or other flavour.
maybe he will take it off your hands.

Nice author reference in title

It's a 2010 new shape 1.6 multijet and the part-ex is already set up so that wouldn't be possible anyway.

That's very nice of you to post that information.

Sorry you are leaving the forum.

How you have much better experience with Ford.

Mine's a 2006 1.9mjet. I was thinking it's getting on a bit, time to change for a newer version.
If this is what they are like, I guess I'll hold on to the old girl for a few more miles.
I was looking on a comparison site for road tax & noticed the new shape doblo with the 1.6 oil burner is £200 per year - against the 500x, sharing what looked like the same engine, being only £35 can't be right - can it?
