Hiya, after months of trying to find a catalytic converter for my 2004 Doblo 1.2, I ended up fitting a new 2002 punto cat (after modifying the end flange with the repair kit from E bay). However due to the different design, the downstream O2 sensor will not fit as it fouls the gearbox. Is this a necessary component? Ive left it hooked up so as I dont throw a code for the O2 heater.

Not 100% sure but think it may eventually throw a wobbley when it tries to regen and finds it has no reading that means anything.
I am a bit out of touch these days but that's my guess

I believe its a 1242 PETROL..

TBH - I suspect as long as it's reading some feedback it MIGHT be o.k. ,

I'd get an emissions test done.. just so you know in advance

:idea:you could always get a mounting boss fitted.
