Afternoon everyone, first post on here so please be gentle.

Bought a 2010 1.3 multi jet doblo yesterday. Lovely van, great pull , just what I need.

On way home it stalled on me ( that it was how I was driving) couldn't bump it or start it for some reason. Waited 10 minutes and it started fine.

Today I have gone out and it has stalled again, no power, only lights on the dash is battery and oil light, tried to fire it up and it was turning but nothing happening- had this for 30minites , then It started and has been fine since.

Few things to note-

Upon starting the vehicle I get a check engine message displayed- no EML on?

Any help please

Thanks

Hi, and welcome,
sounds like a poor earth.. but if it'll spin on the starter then that's the main earth tested..,
and a good battery.

worth getting a decent software package like MultiECUscan to check the ECU's signals,
otherwise an auto electrician..,

personally I wouldn't go to a "garage" as they'll just start swapping parts you don't need

Thanks Varesecrazy,

Seems very strange, just been to the shops, hit a small pothole and it done it again, ill get the ecu checked but ive also just noticed the EML doesn't come on with the ignition.

I have a feeling either the bulb has been removed or its been taped over, I also have a gut feeling it may have something to do with the fuel cut off, hence why it happened after hiting the pothole.

Check that your battery leads are tight and the main leads to the starter and its solenoid are also tight.

Thanks guys, have checked all leads etc to make sure they are all tight enough- all seems fine.

I had suspected it would be the cam sensor after reading various posts, will look into that.

I done60 miles today and nothing... no problems what so ever

Thanks for all your responses guys- took it to the garage today and had the codes read, EGR valve was one, oil pressure switch was another, the last was crankshaft sensor. Will be fixed in next couple of days hopefully!

Thanks everyone
