Hi all - I thought I did this post last night but it doesn't appear anywhere so I must have done something wrong??? So here goes again - I am the recent proud owner of a 2006 Doblo 2 door van 1.3 diesel. Used to drive a LWB T5 Vivante but this is much more fun!!! I'm thinking of sticking some back seats ( rock 'n roll bed) in and if successful would put in a couple of rear side windows but, not having a side door for the back, would need to have one of the front seats, preferably the passengers one tip forward to allow access. The current ones only lean forward slightly so I wonder if anyone knows of a mod that would make this possible? Thanks in anticipation of any help you can offer
Cheers
Great forum btw

Well thanks for the reply Charlie - however i would have hoped that someone out of the over 100 people who have viewed my post might have had something to say - can't believe nobody has asked the question before! Come on someone - even if it's just to say "no chance"!!

Bigaliboy, I was one of the 100 to view your post.

Sorry I didn't reply, but I had nothing to say.

Everything is possible, so I can't say "no chance", and I don't have enough experience with your model to give any constructive comments, so I didn't.

My Dobby already has 2 rear seats and side doors - and is a later model.
My front passenger seat comes out on a regular basis so I can get my bike in, but this is hardly practical on a day-to-day basis.

Thanks Mike and good to hear from you - is a pedal bike or motor bike? you are carrying?

Almost bought the van variant as that's what I needed. Got a 2002 1.9 ELX cheaper, and use it as a van. If needed, put the rear seats back in (toolless) and it a people carrier (kinda).

Can you not do the same?

Thanks Mike and good to hear from you - is a pedal bike or motor bike? you are carrying?

Motor bike

Husqvarna TE310R that I use for Green Lanes.

Bike won't fit in a standard Dobby because of length and height, but as mine is a converted wheelchair car, I just drop the ramp down and push the bike in and prop it against one of the back seats. I can get it in (just) with the front seat all the way forward, but it's easier with it out, and I can get all my riding kit in as well.

Ah - that's probably what i should have done but I got this Doblo van cheap off a mate - only 60k on the clock in 10 yrs - I've now got the rock 'n roll bed fitted in the back and with the bulkhead removed (what a helluva job that was!!) I can just about squeeze into the back behind the driver's seat - as it's only going to be very occasional rear seat usage and emergency bed for me from time to time, I could get away with that now but if I find a front passenger seat solution, i'll post it on here.cheers

That sounds like fun! Did you have the 1/3 rd rear seat that folds up when you bought it or did it never have one? I was wondering if one of those would fit in place of the passenger front seat and give me solution to accessing the back R 'n R seat / bed i've now fitted?

Car was converted from new - was a 5 seater but the rear seats got thrown away.
Then the floor is cut out from the centre and a ramp fitted, so the rear floor is wheelchair width, the remaining original floor made up as a box section.
There was one small, fixed rear seat fitted that is OK for short trip use. The previous owner had another small seat fitted to the other side that does restrict the width, but obviously it means that the car can take 5 people including the wheelchair passenger. The rear seats have integral inertia belts fitted and are about 18" or so wide. They are type approved so no issues with insurance etc.
