hi im having a strange problem with the doblo cargo, when cold the van starts fine turn key ,,happy
when the van is warm , stop for diesel or park up at builders merchants, turn the key and click sounding like the starter solonoid has stuck, the fuel pump wirs up , glow plug light goes out as expected, some times after turning the key 20 or so times the starter will turn for a few seconds and then slow to a stop and click again, ive had a new battery and glow plugs, checked the earth strap cleaned all the connections and still the same, im loathed to change the starter if its an electrical problem

It is the starter motor windings breaking down when hot. The same is happening on my 2007 1.3MJ MPV. Will always turn when cold and let you down in the most arkward of situations, like just after filling up or dropping someone off etc.
