Hello
I am writing this thread as i feel more people need to know just how bad the Fiat Doblo van is, and how the warranty system Fiat provide is very unprofessional.

My Vehicle failed on 19/11/15 and was Fiat assisted to FG Barnes in Guildford. I was assured by Barnes that the van would be back on the road in 2 weeks time....5 months later i have now had the van, basically thrown back at me! They have put a reconditioned engine in it after only 18,000 miles!!. The whole time they have had the van i was the one chasing them, there was no contact, no reasons for why it is taking so long. Fiat customer care are a joke, they give you a case number, reassure you , then palm you off by passing you to new different advisers.

I was not offered a courtesy vehicle for 2 months! Then when i said i needed to carry a ladder on the vehicle, communications went very quite. I used my van for looking at roofing works, I need a ladder!!!

I was also assured by Fiat (Brian Cheyne) that my costs would be covered for the time my vehicle was off the road. This was in fact a big fat Fiat LIE!
As soon as the repairs were finished, I was told to pick the van up but told there would be NO WARRANTY for these repairs!! And NO COMPENSATION will be offered!! Basically, i got the big Fiat middle finger! To top off this incredible service, When i picked up the van it was not even cleaned and on the way more it started kicking out heavy thick smoke from the exhaust. I am now gaining a professional independent company to do a report on the repairs.

Does anyone out there think i have a legal case for this outrageous service?

Dont **** around go straight to trading standards and dump the whole case on their desk

It's not fiat, it's the terrible service of the garage, I can't understand how they took 5 months, did they have monkeys trying to do the Job? That should of gone through warranty and should of easily taken 2 weeks, it only takes a day to remove and re fit a engine on a doblo, about a week for engine delivery from fiat so 5 months ? What the....

Hi, :)
Failed.. in what way..??

broken camchain / rod through the block..investigation required.. time delay.

Siezed due to oil pump failure ( low miles) investigation required ( new engine)

virtually anything else is just a fit new component issue, and should be complete in 3 days,

please do feel free to let us know what is actually the failing. :)

thanks,
Charlie - Oxford
