Hi all
Sorry for being one of those types that appears, posts and possibly vanishes again....but currently we are considering buying a new Doblo trekking model and can find absolutely nothing about them other than that in the brochure....
The fiat dealer has been next to useless, can't offer us a test drive in the model I'm keen on and basically sat in front of us and read out what was in the brochure.
Has anyone seen one, driven one, owns one?
We fancy the 1.6 120bhp model but I have to be honest, if fiat don't pull their fingers out, we will go back to the drawing board.
Any advice or guidance would be great, and obviously if we do end up with a Doblo, I'll come back and become a more active member
Cheers

Find a second hand one and go on a tyre kicking expedition? If you like it, you like it. No point in anyone advising you really. Or about as much as one of us advising you what woman to date - it's all down to personal preference, innit ;)

The engines are good, build quality good as anything else, reliability better than most... plus of course you have to beat women off with a sh***y stick when you drive a Doblo, but maybe thats not your cup of tea... ;)

If you want to find out why the dealer is less than enthusiastic, go to anther dealer, or go back to the one you've already dealt with and tell him you're hot to trot and ask him when he can deliver. You'll find out if he's a sh*t salesman or just unenthusiastic because he knows he can't get you a car because of production schedules. It happens a lot. Happened to my son when he bought a new Vauxhall - one dealers was desperate to sell him a spec he didn't want and it turned out it was because it was all he could get hold of ;)

You also kill the salesmans #1 close: "When would you like it?" ;)
