Hi Guys,,
Just got a Fiat Doblo 1.3 Deisel multijet 2010, 101000 miles

This morning when starting it I had the engine warning light(Check Engine) come on,The vehicle was parked overight on a steep drive however so I drove it onto a level road and after 2 attempts started without the engine warning light. Been running around in it all day no problem hasnt missed a beat and no engine warning light??
Can anyone shred any light on what possibly may have caused this? I only got the van yesterday so wasnt a good start!!
Thank in advance
Nige.

Hi, and welcome,

could be a fault. or just a poor battery.. voltage drop on start-up can make some sensors see less than desired voltage, and flag-up an error,
best best is to plug in a code reader and see what it says..,
IF your van has DPF, then might be worth looking at MultiECUScan as it'll save a fortune in servicing bills - DPF oil degradation

Any more news on this?

Could the warning have been just for oil level, and affected bythe steep slope? Was it parked facing uphill or downhill?

Was parked facing uphill , done 150 miles no problem at all running sweet so maybe it had something to do with how it was parked or een that it had been standing a while ??

AcB it the Trip mode of MPG I think, :)

any news on the fault codes..??

Was parked facing uphill...
Parked facing uphill, oil will flow towards the rear of the sump. If the oil level sensor is at the front, that could explain your warning signal. I thought I had a diagram showing the sensor location, but can’t find it tonight. Somebody on the forum will know.
