I have had my 1.6 16v 2012 bought with 6700 miles about two months now, having sold a Doblo Cargo 2007 after five years of really good service.
The sales blurb said the new Euro 5 engine promised 40% torque increase, great I thought! To be honest, although the new engine is silky smooth with a 6 speed box it is really flat below 1700 rpm, negating most of the new gearbox potential which is a big disappointment.
I then tried Shell V power fuel, (having bought it for my Cargo to cut smoking down) & what a difference that makes! The car now seems happy to trundle along at low revs pulling sweetly. Although the car was very low mileage when I bought it, I have travelled 3k in 2 months, so I don't think there were any "gummed up" issues. Hope this post may help other buyers?

Mine is great at low revs with the six speed. If it has only done 2000 miles a year over three years, it isn't even run in and could still be using the running in mapping in the ecu. I bet it has had an early first oil change as well so the oil from the factory barely had time to loosen it up before it got changed. Dr Yobbo prescribes a few more long journeys which will likely cure the problem. If you can find a way to induce the car to do a DPF re-gen then that will probably help as well.

Thanks for the reply, a couple of interesting points there. I never thought about the the running in map on the ECU. The car was given an oil change too when I bought it. Most of my use of the car is commuting, which involves a 17 mile stretch of A road driven at 60-65 mph, along with about 5 miles of rural roads, so I would be suprised if there were any potential DPF issues to contend with. I will alternate use of fuels to confirm the benefits if using Shell V Power. Many thanks.
